Airflow makes or breaks how your Sprinter feels inside. Without it, the space can feel closed in and stuffy. Adding this crank-out awning window turns that solid panel into a screened, tinted opening that tilts outward to bring in air.
This awning window replaces the fixed glass in the passenger-side rear quarter panel of your Sprinter. Instead of a sealed panel, the T-handle pushes the bottom edge of the glass outward while the top stays hinged, turning that section into an adjustable vent. When you're parked for the night, loading gear, or traveling with a dog in the back, that opening gives the rear of the Sprinter its own airflow instead of leaving that corner closed off.
The mesh screen mounts on the inside of the frame and stays in place while the window is open. When you're stopped at camp or parked overnight, it keeps insects from coming through that rear opening so you can leave the glass tilted out without bringing bugs inside.
This rear quarter window sits along the main cargo and living area of the Sprinter. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while you still have visibility out. It also reduces the amount of direct light coming through that glass so the rear space is not fully exposed when you park.
Cutting into the rear quarter side panel is permanent. The glass has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it's set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane is applied around the perimeter. When the glass is set into place, that urethane bonds the window to the body and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the wall cavity. This bond holds the window in place and creates the weather barrier.
